We’re Conquering Cancer!

 

As you know, 2020 and ‘21 will be remembered for many reasons. Cancer patients will have more memories than most. Did you know that people postponed cancer screenings during the pandemic? Doctors and hospitals stopped various surgeries and procedures for cancer patients and others. Women stopped getting mammograms. Men ignored signs of prostate cancer. Chemotherapy appointments were postponed or cancelled. Yet cancer didn’t stop~it never stops. This has only intensified my goals! Here’s some good news: 

     I’m pleased to share that for the last several years, with the exception of 2020 and 2021, I have had the privilege of taking women cancer survivors on adventures in Yosemite! We spend our days hiking, walking, sight-seeing, journaling, enjoying healthy food and beautiful lodging, making new friends, and having a joyous time! These retreats have been invaluable in providing emotional support and new-found hope. I’m so proud and happy to announce the eleventh…

     Many survivors do not have the emotional support they need while on their cancer journey~they find that support in Yosemite. It’s no exaggeration when I say that these retreats have been life-changing!
